Tongue-Tie & Lip-Tie

Tongue-Tie & Lip-Tie Release.

Gentle, in-clinic assessment and release (frenotomy) for infants and children. Tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) is restricted tongue movement caused by a tight band of tissue beneath the tongue. For some babies it can make latching and breastfeeding difficult; in older children it can affect certain tongue movements. Not every tongue-tie needs treatment: Dr Suran carefully assesses whether it is clinically significant before recommending anything.

  • Assessment: tongue-tie & upper lip-tie
  • Frenotomy: gentle release for feeding issues
  • Aftercare: risks & care explained to parents
  • Recovery: healing in 7 to 10 days
